Event Information
The Alabama State Games 2025 Basketball Tournament is an exciting and competitive event that will bring together top basketball talent from across Alabama. With divisions for boys and girls in multiple age groups and organizations, this tournament will feature a 5-game guarantee, giving every team a chance to compete for the championship.

Date: June 14–15, 2025

Time: Games begin at 8:00 AM daily, with the final championship games scheduled on June 15, 2025.
Tournament Divisions
The tournament will include divisions for both boys and girls in the following categories:

10U (Under 10)

14U (Under 14)

16U (Under 16)

AISA (Alabama Independent School Association)

AHSAA (Alabama High School Athletic Association)
Each division will have 4 teams and is open to both competitive and recreational skill levels.

Registration Fee: $200 per team

Scholarship Opportunity:
Every registered participant is eligible to win a scholarship during the Opening Ceremony on June 13th when they sign in.
Tournament Format

Guaranteed Games: Each team is guaranteed 5 games throughout the tournament.

Game Days:

Day 1 (June 14): Pool Play

Day 2 (June 15): Playoff Brackets including 1st and 3rd place games

Rules and Regulations

Official basketball rules will apply, with some modifications as per the event guidelines.

Game Duration:

Youth Divisions (10U, 12U): 12 Minute Halves (2 timeouts each team)

All Other Divisions: 14 Minute Halves (2 timeouts each team)

Substitutions: Unlimited, but must occur during stoppage of play.

Fouls: Standard basketball fouls apply, with technical fouls leading to free throws.
Awards

Medals: Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals for the top three teams in each division.

Scholarship Awards: Multiple scholarships to be awarded at the Opening Ceremony.
AWARDS
Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded to the top three places in each division.
STATE GAMES OF AMERICA
This event is a qualifying event for the 2026 State Games of America. Any athletes that place will have the opportunity to compete in the 2026 State Games of America hosted in State College, Pennsylvania.
